Our Humble Beginings.
FATE RACING, owned by Frank & Marie Amoroso, came together in 1988.
The word "FATE" stand's for "Frank Amoroso Trucking Enterprises" a name
given to his Interstate linehaul company.

Initially the team didn't have a full time race truck, so Frank's Kenworth Aerodyne was converted into a ten tonne race truck for weekend meet's.
Weekday's.
Weekend's.
In 1990, Frank bought a Diamond Rio from an Army Auction in Bonegilla and had it up & running after a few change's and a coat of paint.
When this wasn't enough for his need for speed, the team invested in a Kenworth W900 and have continued to run a two-truck team ever since.
As we bought the Diamond Rio.
Now a 2 truck team
"I take my Super Truck Racing Seriously," say's Frank "but I'm also a realist and knowing that money is limited, which can disadvantage us at time's, I have alway's strived to hold a place in the top six competitors and having a professional look for my team."
FATE RACING has alway's prided themselves on the presentation of the team and it's equipment.
Frank notes that  whilst "we may not be the fastest team, we do have the best looking roadshow!"
Best looking road show.
Home away from home
As well as having the two Supertruck's, the team also consists of a 40ft Mercedes Benz coach converted into accommodation for the crew, also a Kenworth W900 transporter.
The latest edition to the team is a motorised scooter used by the crew to get around the track.
In keeping up a lifetime tradition of FATE RACING all of the vehicle's (Including the scooter) are blue...

Currently the Kenworth race's in "A-Class" whilst the Diamond Rio race's in "B-Class".
Both Supertrucks used to run in "A-Class", but 4 year's ago the decision was made to separate the truck's, being a privateer it was hard to race two Supertrucks in the same class and the team was starting to fall behind.

There have been many obstacles along the way but Frank and the team hope to see the Kenworth at the pointy end of the field in the near future!
Repairing the truck
after hitting the wall at 140kph
AT the Oran Park meet in 1997, Frank, feeling the "Need for speed," threw the Kenworth into "Konica Corner," only to discover that the brake's were locked-up. This sent the Supertruck crashing into a concrete wall at 140kph. The wash up of it all saw a damaged steering arm, broken front spring and a shattered fibreglass bonnet.
Frank used his charm on the "Clerk of the course" and obtained permission to compete in the following races, "HOT ROD" style!
The crowd seemd to love it because the roar of laughter from them overcame the roar of the engine.

The only "HOT ROD" Supertruck in Australia
Frank's mother always said "that the problems in life only come to those who can handle them," but sometimes he wishes that the worries of the world wouldn't always end up in the FATE pit's!
Apart from Frank's love of Supertruck racing, he also involve's himself in many other truck related activities. He managed to secure himself a seat in the '1998 Victorian Variety Bash," from Melbourne to Broome, with "Cummins Diesel Australia"
The truck was an ex-International Fire truck, which was converted into a "Pink Pig" truck.
The team came 2nd outright, out of a field of 86 vehicle's. They were commended for having raised the highest fund's of $20,000.
